What are you passionate about?
What are you passionate about? Is it just one thing? Or is it several?
I often feel like I am running around in a million directions, wanting to make a million things happen. What will I work on today: photography, my boutique, Maskcara, my home, ranch work? Do people just look at my life and think, that girl has too many irons in the fire, she just needs to focus on one. Well here is my problem, I can't. But I think that's okay! Why should we just limit ourselves to doing one thing we love? I have always been a big dreamer, why not do the things that make me happy and live my dream?
Some days I really doubt myself wondering if I should give up a few things and really just pursue one passion full out, but I just can't do it! Anyone else feel that way? The very first thing I ever felt a huge passion for was ranching. At the age of 20 I went out and bought 20 cows under a small loan and started to build a little herd with my dad. That is something I am still very passionate about today. Ranching and caring for cattle has and always will be the greatest joy of mine, even when days are long and cold. As cheesy as this may sound, I truly believe that I was put on this earth to pursue that passion, along with others. But the ranch life has always been my largest passion that I could never let go of.
Ranching is also what helped me to find my next passion, photography. When Wyatt and I got engaged we took a ranch job down in the middle of nowhere New Mexico. It was the most desolate and alone place I have ever lived, let alone been to. However, the landscape surrounding us was some of the prettiest I had ever seen, and all I wanted to do was capture that beauty to share it with others. In doing so, I found my love for photography.
In the past few years since moving from New Mexico, I really started to find a passion for making women feel beautiful and highlighting their uniqueness. This brought me to my love of boutique clothing and Maskcara beauty. I love helping women to express their unique personalities, and helping them to feel beautiful inside and out! These two are my latest endeavors and my experience and passion just continues to grow for them!
Moral of the story: pursue every passion you have, what else in life could make you any happier? Even if your passions are worlds apart like mine, from dirty ranch jobs to makeup and cloths. Don't let anyone make you feel silly for pursuing the most random of dreams. At the end of the day, it is your life, make it what you want it to be!
I love that I can combine my love of different things to come together in one way or another. Today, I thought I would share you with you my love of cattle and photography! I hope you have a wonderful day, and don't forget, do a little something every day to work towards a dream of yours!
